Race info

The race season usually begins at the end of May and typically runs for approximately 16 weeks.

Race birds are basketed on Saturday before being transported to the release location. On Sunday morning, the pigeons are released to begin their journey home.

Each pigeon races back to its own loft, with the winner determined by the fastest recorded speed, measured in meters per minute.
